Sportstal Dijckhoeve is a livery stable with more than fifty years of history. Our team of dedicated staff takes daily care of the well-being of our horses and the comfort of our boarding clients. We regularly look for new team members.

What we ask

An affinity with horses is a must. Experience in horse care is a plus, but not required — we are happy to think along with you. Reliability, diligence and team spirit are most important to us.

You are willing to work outdoors, in all weather conditions. Flexibility in working hours is important, as the horses need care seven days a week.

Stable worker

28–32 hours per week

We are looking for a motivated stable worker for a permanent position of 28 to 32 hours per week. You will join our team and contribute to the daily care of our horses and the management of the stable.

Tasks

  • Daily care of the horses (feeding, stabling, turnout)
  • Mucking out and keeping stables and boxes clean
  • Escorting horses to and from paddock and pasture
  • Monitoring the health and well-being of the horses
  • General stable duties and light maintenance
  • Collaborating with vet and farrier when needed

Profile

  • Affinity with horses and experience in horse care
  • Physically fit and used to working outdoors
  • Reliable, precise and a true team player
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Living in the area or willing to commute to Lisserbroek
  • Dutch language proficiency required; English is a plus

Internships and apprenticeships

Sportstal Dijckhoeve is a recognised training company. We are happy to offer placements to interns who are enrolled in an education programme within the equine sector.

Whether you are studying Equine Studies or Horse Management, or a related programme — with us you will work in a professional environment where you get to know the practice. You work alongside experienced colleagues and build valuable experience for your future.
