About us
Sportstal Dijckhoeve is located on the edge of the Haarlemmermeer, in Lisserbroek. What began as a trotters stable has grown into a popular boarding stable for dressage, show jumping and recreational horses.
Horse and rider find all the space and care they need with us. Thanks to the central location, the stable is quickly reachable from Amsterdam, Leiden and Haarlem. With a trailer, you are fifteen minutes from the Haarlemmermeerse Bos and twenty minutes from the beach.
The grounds
Our grounds cover seven hectares. There is plenty of space to walk on paved paths — the hardened paths around the buildings, ideal for horses undergoing rehabilitation that (temporarily) may not go in the paddock or on pasture — or to train on the track around the meadow. The atmosphere is sporty and friendly. Riders encourage each other and keep an eye on each other’s horses.
Dressage is popular among our stablemates, but recreational riders and show jumpers also get their turn. The 50 x 70 metre outdoor arena is spacious and equipped with jumping materials.
Care for your horse
Horses enjoy the paddocks or turnout and fresh air. They stay in light, spacious boxes and are fed quality feed three times a day. The quiet surroundings contribute to their well-being.
Our staff know every horse by name. From feeding schedules to turnout groups, everything is tailored to the animal's needs. In case of illness or injury, we work closely with the treating vet and farrier.
A community of riders
What makes Sportstal Dijckhoeve special is the community. It is not just the facilities, but the people who come here. There is a core group of boarding clients who have been happily stabled with us for years, alongside new riders who quickly feel at home.
The canteen is the heart of social life. After riding, people linger to chat, share tips or simply enjoy the view of the indoor arena. That informal atmosphere is typical of our stable.
