Accommodation

Sportstal Dijckhoeve has first-class facilities and amenities for your horse. Our grounds cover seven hectares with ample space for training, recreation and care.

Riding arenas

  • Covered outdoor arena: 20 x 60 m, front area, enclosed all around with high fence (lockable)
  • Double outdoor arena: 50 x 70 m, also used for competitions, enclosed all around with lockable fence
  • Indoor arena: 20 x 40 m, posture mirrors on short ends; visible from the canteen; windows fitted with one-way transparent tape to prevent distraction
  • All arenas are equipped with LED lighting

Lungeing pens

  • Three in total, all with all-weather surface
  • Two with Ø 15 m, one with Ø 18 m
  • One of the 15 m pens is covered (Molenkoning)

Paddocks

  • 12 paddocks in various sizes
  • Regularly harrowed, drained surfaces, fences with electric tape
  • 5 rear paddocks fully renovated
  • Paddocks are lit
  • Use in fixed periods of 45 minutes (one or more horses)

Training track

  • 1.5 km long, around the meadows, frequently harrowed
  • Suitable for walk/trot/warming up and extended straight-line riding

Walk/trot walker

  • Covered, sides enclosed up to approx. 1.60 m high
  • Surface: sand on paved base (good stability)
  • Walk/trot possible, alternating or not

Parking

  • Ample parking space for livery clients and visitors

Stables

  • Indoor boxes in compartments around/near the central indoor arena. Well-insulated wooden outdoor boxes + clustered outdoor boxes.
  • 2 compartments with 8 indoor boxes
  • 2 compartments with 14 indoor boxes
  • 1 compartment with 4 indoor boxes + 17 outdoor boxes
  • 1 cluster of 8 well-insulated wooden outdoor boxes
  • All boxes: spacious, fresh, light, open at the top. Dimensions: 2.60 x 4.00 m / 3.20 x 3.20 m / 3.00 x 3.80 m. Weave grille present; solid bars for visual contact with neighbouring horses. Each box has a numbered tack locker + corresponding blanket rack.

Tack rooms

  • Two heated tack rooms
  • Large tack room ("De Hooiberg"): two floors
  • Second tack room in a freestanding compartment (indoors)
  • Lockers numbered + lock; number corresponds to box and blanket hanger
  • Each locker has a tack trolley (deposit required with box rental)

Wash and grooming areas

  • Wash area in the centre of De Hooiberg: cool in summer, heated in winter
  • Space for 5 horses, hot/cold running water
  • Solarium operates on euro coins
  • Spacious tying-up areas at the stables and indoor arena (with running water)

Turnout

  • Season starts from May (weather permitting)
  • Groups are formed at the start
  • Turnout times: 07.00–12.00 / 12.00–17.00 / 17.00–22.00
  • Solo turnout: possible for up to 2.5 hours per day

Feeding

  • 6× per day: 3× forage, 3× concentrate feed
  • Concentrate feed options: basic pellet, sport pellet, five-grain mix with vitamin pellet
  • 10–12 kg pre-dried grass of consistent, very good dry quality
  • Medication is administered at feeding times

Canteen

  • Open daily for boarding clients and visitors
  • Coffee, soft drinks, free WiFi
  • View of the outdoor grounds and indoor arena

Outdoor bar Black Bess

  • Open during competitions and in good weather
  • Atmospheric outdoor bar with veranda at the edge of the large outdoor arena
  • Especially popular daily during the summer months
